TWILIGHT FANATICS MUST READ THIS BOOK

If you are a twilight fanatic like me, then you need to read this book by Lois Gresh. I like this book so much that I am going to look for more books by Lois and read them, too. Her books are different. They are not written like anyone else's books. Instead of just writing "Oh, first Bella did this and then she did that, and then Edward did this and then he did that, so then Bella did this and Edward did that" - like, anyone can just tell the story because Stephenie Meyer has already TOLD US THE STORY, DUH - Lois does not just sit around and tell us the whole Twilight story again. LOIS ADDS TO WHAT TWILIGHT FANS ALREADY KNOW. That is why this book is so good. She has a fun way of writing that I really like. Hey, Lois, can you teach me how to write better? ha ha Seriously, if Lois was a teacher, I wouldn't mind taking English class so much. My English teacher is like wood compared to Lois. Hey, Lois, write more books!!!!!!!!

My bff and I have read Twilight so many times we lost count. We bought The Twilight Companion by Lois Gresh, and it was so funny that we read it so many times we lost count. If you have a sense of humor and like to laugh, then this book is for you. If you love Twilight, then this book is for you. Lois really understands why we love Edward Cullen and Bella and everything about Twilight. I will also read the official guide and so will my friends. And we will read this companion guide again and again, too. You can't get enough of a good thing.

Someone had to write a fan guide to Twilight, but nobody did until Lois Gresh wrote her Twilight Companion. I can tell she spent a lot of time reading Twilight and thinking about everything. She even wrote about everything Twilight as if it means something to her. I bet she was in love with a boy like Edward when she was in school. Or I bet she wished she had someone like Edward when she was in school. I don't know but I do know she's a big Twilight fan like me and my friends. She's kind of a hero for writing this book for us, we think.

My friends and I like this book a lot. It looks like it was written for us teen readers, and its just great. We learned a lot of neat stuff. If you are a teenager you will like this book a lot. Some of our parents like the book too, and some of our parents were not that interested in the twilight books, but they liked the movie when they took us to see it. One of our parents have told us that some adults did not like the book as much, and we told her, so what, and she said that you can't trust anybody over 30.

I am a fan and I am going to buy the official guide. I also like this companion guide. It contains information that will not probably be in the official guide. Like added information about vampires and how Twilight vampires are and aren't like other vampires. I think this book is enjoyable. I had a good time reading it. I think any fan of Twilight who's in 5-9 grade will like it.
This book is very entertaining - I enjoyed it a lot

"I got this book for Christmas, and I read it that night. Then I read it again the next day. I'm letting my best friend borrow it because she loves Twilight as much as I do. But then I want the book back so I can read it again. I laughed so hard while reading this book. It's really funny."

"My friends and I love this book. We love Edward and Bella. It's obvious to us that Lois loves them, too. She's a real fan just like us. We stayed up all night just to do the quizzes together. We can't wait to read more books by Lois. The book is fun and entertaining. We wish she'd write some vampire novels of her own, so we could read them, too!"

I am glad that my mother go this book for me at the bookstore. We both ended up reading it and had something to share. I learned a lot of new things about vampires, and my mother got to understand more about my interests. First I was wondering why I needed a guide, when I was so familiar with the books already. Then I realized that this guide makes a connection between the books I read, and other books and movies that I never even knew existed. Have your parents get this book for you, and share the experience with them.

ACCURATE, FUN, AND A MUST READ FOR ALL TWILIGHT FANS

I'm in a Twilight fan club. I've never written a "real" book review before except, of course, about the Twilight novels. The president of my fan club asked me to write a book review about The Twilight Companion because we all love this book. I mean, REALLY REALLY REALLY love this book.
Here's why. I read the Stephenie Meyer novels about a dozen times. I wish she'd write more novels about Edward and Bella. This Twilight Companion by Lois Gresh gets me thinking about ideas in Twilight that hadn't occurred to me before, and my friends and I talk about these ideas (because we can't get enough of Twilight, people!!!!!!!). One example is that Lois writes about how vampires can be killed in Twilight and whether or not this is how vampires are killed in other vampire movies and novels. Lois is a TRUE FAN. Not only of Twilight but also of vampire novels and movies. We think Lois has probably read maybe a hundred vampire novels and seen a hundred vampire movies. She ends up writing that "For most vampires, death comes by a stake through the heart, decapitation, and setting the body on fire. Twilight departs with the usual methods, except for setting the body on fire, which seems to be a necessary part of the death ritual of Twilight vampires."
TRUE! When Victoria is killed (about time), she's ripped into pieces and burned.

My daughter and her friends liked The Twilight Companion. It had fun facts in it, as well as quizzes they enjoyed doing. It is a fan guide for girls their age. 12-14 years old. If you want to read exactly about what happens in Twilight, then read the Twilight books. If you want to read insights and explore the love girls have for Edward, Jacob, Bella, and the other characters, then read this book. It is well done and from all the laughter I heard and from what my daughter told me, this is a gotta read book.

If you want to read more and more and more about Twilight, hear what a vampire expert has to say about Edward and Bella, and have some fun, then also read this book by Lois Gresh. |

I'm the president of a Twilight Fan Club. I'm speaking for all the girls who love Bella and Edward and Stephenie Meyer. And I'm going to get my friends to put good reviews here, too, so you can see why The Twilight Companion is such a great book to read - if you are a fan of Twilight.
The back of this book says it is an unofficial companion guide to the blockbuster New York Times bestselling Twilight vampire series. What this means is that the book gives you a fan's perspective of Twilight, its characters, the movie, and more. Lois Gresh says right up front in the book that she EXPECTS you to already be a big fan of Twilight because she's not going to just rehash the entire Twilight story for you. Stephenie Meyer has already done that in the actual novels. What Lois does is give you all kinds of inside opinions, humor, facts, anecdotes, and fun little quizzes so you can EXTEND your knowledge and fun with the actual Twilight novels.
THIS IS A FAN GUIDE. IT IS FOR FANS. LIKE ME. LIKE ALL MY FRIENDS.
We are passing this book around to everyone we know. And we already own a bunch of copies. We want everyone to read The Twilight Companion. Like the back of the book says, "For all those who adore Bella Swan, Edward, and the rest of the Cullen family and can't get enough, this companion guide is a must." WE AGREE!!!!!!!!!!!!! This book rocks, and we will read any book by Lois Gresh after reading The Twilight Companion.

I love this book. When I bought this book, I knew it wasn't going to just tell me step by step bit by bit what Stephenie Meyer wrote in her Twilight novels. That's just stupid. I stood there, browsing through this book before I bought it. I knew what I was getting, and I was excited about it.
The Twilight Companion supplies information about vampires, werewolves, even vampire bats, all kinds of cool things. Okay, I like to learn new things. I don't like to just sit there, reading a "summary" of novels I've already read fourteen times. I lie to read cool, new information that lets me explore the novels in greater depth.
But that's just me. I like to read. I like Twilight. I LOVE TWILIGHT. And I love this book. If you're anything like me, you'll love this book,
too.

It is so very obvious that the author of this guide loves Twilight. You just have to read her book to know what a huge fan she is of Stephenie Meyer and all things Twilight. I can't wait for the official guide, but I am so glad I read The Twilight Companion. It's full of interesting facts about vampires and werewolves, and it talks about love and romance, about Bella and Edward in ways I never thought about before. I looked up Lois on the internet. She's actually written lots of fiction, like vampire stories of her own and lots of other stories, plus four novels. After reading The Twilight Companion, I will look for more of Loises books.

I saw the Twilight movie with my friends over the holidays. We all love Stephenie Meyer. We all love Stephenie Meyer's books. And we all like to have fun - like who doesn't? I know a lot of kids in my school, and everyone knows about Twilight. A lot of kids got this book by Lois Gresh for Christmas. Like six of my friends got this book okay? I went to the bookstore, and I saw The Twilight Companion on a big display with Stephenie Meyer's books. So I actually looked through The Twilight Companion before I bought it with my own Christmas money that my favorite aunt (who is really cool) gave to me. When I was looking at The Twilight Companion, there were like five or six other kids looking at copies at the same time. WE ALL BOUGHT THIS BOOK. AND LIKE I SAID, WE ALL LOOKED AT IT - IN THE BOOKSTORE - BEFORE WE BOUGHT IT.
My fav chapter is the one about Bella's Awakening: What Really Happens When You Turn into a Vampire. In this chapter, Lois has a big section on Bella and Accidents, which is fun to read. There are actually people who are accident prone, like Bella. I think I am like this, too. But mostly, in this chapter, Lois talks about what it's like if you become an immortal vampire. Like, you have to live on blood forever, but you won't have to worry about dieting anymore. (funny) "If you're a girl, expect to be so gorgeous that a mere sideways glance from you will turn any man of any age into a slobbering, doting slave to your every desire." (yes!)
If you like to laugh and if you like Twilight, then this book is for you. It's great, I can't even tell you how much fun this book, it's that great!

Does anyone know how to contact Mrs. Gresh? I love this book and want her to sign it for me! She makes me laugh really hard. Especially in the parts about how to attract vampires. Oh, and my dad also said that he was happy that I spent my vacation reading this book instead of getting into trouble. LOLLOL

The School Library Journal recommended this book and said that this book is funny and fun to read, so I asked my parents to get it for me. They were right. I did have a lot of fun reading it. I learned a lot of new things that I did not know, such as how many people does a vampire need to drink in order to live.

I've read several books by Lois Gresh. She has an amazing sense of humor, and she also goes beyond just telling me things I already know, like the story of Bella, Edward, and Jacob. This book was great because she really delved into the subjects, like her chapter on Bella's Awakening, which talked a lot about what it might really really be like to live forever as a vampire. Like, what really happens when someone goes through the torment of being transformed into a vampire? And how might turning into a vampire be different than what happens when you totally and really die? I never knew what happens when people really die, and it's creepy and makes me want to be a vampire even more! I think this book is really, really interesting, like she also talks about how Edward's venom might really work - you can't get this kind of information anywhere else but in The Twilight Companion. It's one thing to maybe say like, oh he has venom, but it's another to try and explain how his venom might actually work! It's so cool. I also like her chapter on The Final Twilight Book, All the Answers You've Been Dying to Learn, where she talks about how she got her copy of Breaking Dawn and the wedding and honeymoon. It's really fun to read, and then she sticks up for Stephenie Meyer against the criticisms of Breaking Dawn that other people had when the book came out. Lois Gresh is a true fan. I can tell. And having read other books by Lois Gresh, I can tell she's a fan of other things she writes about, too. I'm glad I read The Twilight Companion, and I hope she writes more books. My friends and I love her and we want her to know: Lois, WRITE MORE BOOKS!
