Great Collectors Doll

Review Date: January 11, 2010

This is a great doll for collectors. My daughter (who plays with Barbies) wanted this doll because she likes the Twilight series - or as much as she knows of it! I felt kinda bad letting her play with it but since that's what I bought it for, she's going to play with it. The clothes are better quality than the normal Barbie clothes too.
A Christmas Gift

I purchased this for my niece. I don't know who was more excited when she opened it - her or her mother! It arrived in a prompt and timely manner and was packaged very nicely. I would recommend this vendor as a reputable dealer with quality products.
Nice Collectible

The doll which is actually quite lovely comes wearing jeans and and a gray jacket and with what looks to be dark sneakers. She probably looks a little more like Barbie than Bella but does look close enough that I don't think that any of the young fans will mind.

I didn't take it out of the box, as it's a gift for my niece who is a huge Twilight fan. And if you're planning on buying it as a collectible you won't want to take it out of the box anyway, as that diminishes it's value as a collectible.

I was a Barbie fan back in the 50's a kid. I loved my Barbies! I have read all Twilight books and seen both movies out so far and enjoyed them all. So I had to have these. They are in my collection with my Barbie dolls now. They are well done indeed and great for a collector like me. I got Edward too! I just love them!

My daughter is a huge Twilight fan and loves playing with both the Bella doll and she also received the Edward doll as well. This is currently very hard to find in stores.
Picture doesn't do it justice........

This doll is so pretty. Way prettier than the picture. The packaging is very pretty and looks very complex. They definitely look amazing to show off to friends, barbie collectors and Twilight fans! I'm never taking this doll out of the box. Awesome x-mas gift.
Barbie as Bella, not quite Bella enough

I bought the Bella Swan Barbie because I enjoy Twilight and am a major Barbie collector. Two of my favourite things in one! I also have the Edward and I have to say that he looks like Edward (how I imagine him in the book) but the Bella is more like Barbie as Bella. She has a definite Barbie face and I think maybe there could have been a better mold to use. Don't get me wrong, she is a beautiful doll. Her hair is soft and her outfit is just like Bella's in the movie. But she sort of looks like an older woman trying to dress as a teenager (hence 50 year old Barbie trying to look like a kid I guess...haha). She's a nice doll for a collector or a Twilight fan. I wouldn't give her to a little kid, unless you don't mind spending that much on a doll that will get messed up as most little kids are a bit rough on Barbies.

Collector of Twilight Series - Not Used as a "Toy". So marking the "fun or educational" values are low due to this only. It is a perfect additional to my daughters collection of dolls. It will be for display only.

I bought a couple of these for a young girl in our family and now I have a request from another girl in the family. They both want to collect these dolls and don't plan to open the boxes. One "mistake" I made was that I didn't buy all three, only Bella and Edward. They apparently want the trio.

This is not really a toy. It is a doll for a keepsake. However, it is so pretty and my daughter loves it on her nightstand right next to Edward.
Is this Barbie as Bella or Bella made by the Barbie company?

I found my Pink Label Edward Cullen and Bella Swan/Cullen Twilight Edition Barbies at K-Mart. I'm a huge fan of the books and I do like the movies (the screaming psychotic fans, not so much!) well enough. My only real complaint is about the Bella doll because the likeness to Bella herself is lacking. This doesn't look like Bella made by Mattel. Instead it looks like Barbie with a brown wig and Bella's clothes. I would have liked it to look more like Bella and less like Barbie. You could literally dress her up in different clothes, heels, a blond wig and you wouldn't know it was the Bella doll unless you look closely at the eye color.

TheBarbie Twilight Edward Doll on the other hand looks nothing like Ken. Edward shimmers, he is very pale, his eyes are alluring, he's got that signature James Dean hair and his face is very angled and chiseled like the shadows on the actors face in the movies. He may not be a DEAD (ha ha, get it? vampire... dead... ha) ringer for a Robert look-alike but he passes for a Twilight vampire well enough to satisfy my Twilight heart.

In conclusion, if you're a Twilight fan who loves the books as well as the movies and you enjoy collecting Twilight memorabilia the dolls are a must have. I intend on buying the Jacob doll to complete my Twilight Pink Label collection!

i really like the dolls for fun. I am 65 so i dont 'play' with them, just sit them on the dresser and enjoy. i found all three of them at the back of wal-mart toy dept for 10 bucks each. I guess Twilight is over and it is on to Eclipse and New moon stuff at wal-mart.
Awesome

I bought this for my 6 yr old daughter yet my 2 yr old son gets a hold to it from time to time. It's stood up to my son's destruction and my daughter's playing. So far so good.
